Arboretum Buddy
Arboretum Buddy is an AI-assisted companion I developed for Sunnyside Communities. This app was designed to help residents explore the arboretum with real-time guidance, accessible information, and interactive learning moments woven into their daily walks.
I initiated UX research process, creating personas and narrative scenarios that grounded the design in the needs of older adults. Using tools like Figma Make, Microsoft Copilot, and Lovable, I explored how AI could support rapid prototyping, simulate user flows, and shape an experience that felt intuitive.
This project taught me how powerful AI can be as a design partner, especially when paired with accessibility-focused iteration. I saw firsthand how storytelling strengthens usability by keeping real people at the center of every design decision.
Melting Pot
Melting Pot is a UX research-driven project centered on a simple but meaningful goal: helping people reconnect with their cultural identity through food. This project explored how a digital tool could bridge the gap by connecting users with culturally accurate food experiences, trusted community cooks, and deeper cultural knowledge
I assisted the research process from the ground up, using Google Forms to gather user insights and sythesize findings into personas and problem statements. From there, I helped translate these insights into prototypes in Figma and created supporting deliverables in Canva to communicate our vision clearly.
This team project strengthened my ability to design with cultural sensitivity and intention. It also taught me how to identify gaps in representation and how thoughtful UX research can uncover opportunities for connection that go beyond digital platforms.
Service Connect
Service Connect is a community-driven project built to help make it easier for people to give and receive help. The platform connects individuals to nearby volunteer opportunities while also offering a dedicated help board where community members can request support.
I developed this project using UX design skills and AI-assisted prompting. I used tools like Lovable and Figma Make to produce the most intuitive UI, generating screens for an application that felt cohesive, mobile-first, and aligned with real user flows.
Working through vibecoding taught me how to design with AI rather than around it. I learned how to iterate on prompts and translate AI-generated structures into meaningful user experiences. This project strengthened my ability to evaluate design quality, adapt to new technology, and work on refinement.
